Registration for Snowball 2008 open for new families. We encourage any new families to click on “New Registration” and follow the instructions to enter your name and information in our database. You will be contacted by Snowball Express representatives after you complete this initial registration. Please have available the DD1300 of the fallen hero, as this will be used to verify eligibility.

A reminder: Snowball Express is for the children of military fallen heroes who have died while serving in any of the military services since 9/11. The children must be accompanied by the surviving parent or legal guardian to the event. In cases where the surviving parent or legal guardian is unable to accompany the child, another escort can be selected to escort the child to the event, i.e. another family member or acquaintance. Snowball Express must be notified in advance if someone other than the surviving parent or legal guardian is attending with the child or children.

The tentative dates for this year’s event are in mid-Dec 2008. More details and specific dates will be announced as soon as they are finalized. We project to have these details completed very soon.

Sponsor a Child or Family's Visit

Any contribution amount is welcome from $1 up. It takes $500* to sponsor a child's trip; $1,500 for a family of three. Tax deductible donations are welcome. To make a donation, please click on the "Donate" button.

* The $500 is the average cost of airfare and incidental costs associated with flying one person to the event. While we hope to have some or all of the air transportation provided at no cost, at this time we must budget on the assumption that all tickets will be purchased and have sufficient funds on hand to cover such costs. Extra funds raised will be applied toward event costs. No salaries are paid to volunteers and last year’s event resulted in expenditures made by Snowball Express for administrative costs and overhead amounted to less than 1% of expenditures of cash donations and in-kind donations
