Chairman's Message
Thank you for visiting our website.
I am deeply honored to be Chairman of the Board of Snowball Express.
Representing countless volunteers and corporations, but most importantly, having the opportunity to serve the families of our fallen heroes, is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As I have told nearly everyone I know, my experience with Snowball Express families for the past two years has been life-changing. To the thousands of volunteers and supporters who helped make it happen, you are, in my eyes, also truly heroes.
For those of us blessed to have seen Snowball Express 2006 and 2007 in person , we will never forget the impact. Children who really smiled for the first time since their father or mother had died, spouses who cried in the arms of strangers and became bonded for life, and realized that people still cared. There were children who saw other kids just like them for the first time and, finally, volunteers who shared an experience with a family that put a face on the tremendous sacrifice these families have endured.
We make many choices in life; one we don't have is the manner in which we die. These fallen heroes had no choice in that decision but they did have a choice in how they lived their lives…in the service of their country to defend the freedoms we share and to give that gift to others…a noble cause worthy of our respect.
We, as supporters of Snowball Express, do have a choice on how we live our lives now; to honor the memories of these fallen heroes and to bring as much joy as we can to their children and spouses. As Snowball Express volunteers, we are proud to be Americans and proud to honor these families.
The price of freedom is real to these children and is paid every day with lost memories of loved ones who are no longer with them. Please join Snowball Express volunteers and supporting companies…make the choice of changing the lives of these families, and help make Snowball Express 2008 another life-changing one.
Believe it….the life you change may be your own.
